Launched Nov 8 2022: a 35,000 sq ft facility using an all-dry Dry Particle Microgranulation (DPMG) process. As of 2026 the facility is operational and validated to up to 100 tonnes per annum of dry pCAM-free cathode material.
Government of Canada / ACOA + NGen support for the Dartmouth pilot facility

Development of the Simmonds Drive facility was supported by C$1M from the Government of Canada via the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and C$1.675M from Next Generation Manufacturing Canada. The Government of Canada / ACOA also publicly announced support for the facility (canada.ca, 2022) and for NOVONIX cathode + data-product R&D, but those gov pages returned HTTP 403 to the fetcher and could not be HTTP-validated, so the funding figures are cited to the HTTP-200 NOVONIX primary-press release that states them.
