BMO leased office space and operates its main St. John's branch on the ground floor. Earlier 2019 CBC reporting cited larger pre-construction figures (75,000 sq ft / $30M); JCB's project director cited a $15M / 67,000 sq ft mandate — figures evolved over the project. Paradise Plaza (1641 Topsail Road)

FRESHNESS: the property was acquired by Skyline Retail REIT on Nov 28, 2025 (https://www.skylineretailreit.ca/news/2025/skyline-retail-reit-enters-the-province-of-nl-with-new-purchase/), so ALRE no longer owns it; a No Frills grocery store is under construction with a Sept 2026 opening planned. ALRE's previously-reported 35,000 sq ft Phase 2 (capping the site at ~95,000 sq ft) was in negotiation as of 2022; its current status under new ownership is unconfirmed.
